Good value, some minor issues

I bought the Orange Defender Antivirus, 1 Year License after my old software expired. The installation was straightforward, and it seems to be doing its job. I ran a Deep Scan Tool, and it found a few things I didn't know were there. My PC feels a bit snappier too, which is nice. Delivery was just a download link, which came quickly. My only small gripe is that the PC Performance Optimizer feature could be more intuitive; it took a bit to figure out all the settings. Overall, a solid product for the price.

Quick download, good protection

Needed new antivirus fast. Got the Orange Defender 1 Year License. Downloaded and installed easily. PC runs fine. Seems to block threats. No complaints.

Easy to get, works well

So, I needed some antivirus for my old laptop. Heard about Orange Defender. Got the 30 Days License just to try it out. The download was super quick, like, a few minutes. Installation was easy too, didn't have any weird pop-ups or anything. It just runs in the background. My computer didn't get slow, which is good 'cause it's already kinda old. Seems like it's doing its job catching stuff. Pretty happy with it, honestly.

Consistent protection, always reliable

I've been using Orange Defender for a few years now. This time I renewed my Antivirus for Windows, going for another 1 Year License. Every experience has been consistent. The software is lightweight, not slowing down my PC like some competitors do. The threat detection engine has always caught everything, and I appreciate the regular updates. It's the reason I keep coming back. Never had to use their virus removal service, which is a good sign the Real-time Protection works well. They keep the process simple, which is what I need.

Smooth purchase and effective software

I ordered the Orange Defender Antivirus, 2 Years License during a holiday promotion. The ordering process was very smooth on their website; I just picked the license and went through checkout. I got the activation key and download link in my email almost instantly. Installation was simple, and the software has been running quietly in the background. I tested the Real-time Protection with a known test file, and it caught it right away. The System Guard feature also seems robust. I had one quick question about renewing in the future, and their customer support responded to my email within a few hours with a clear answer. My computer's performance hasn't taken a hit at all, which was a concern with other antivirus programs I've used. Very satisfied with the multi-device protection option too.

Is the 30-day license thing a free trial or do you still have to pay for that month?

J Josh 1 month ago
You actually pay for it, it's not a free trial. They do have a trial, but the 30-day is a paid, short-term option.

Yeah, it's a short license, not free. Good if you just need something for a quick check or a temporary fix though.

Has anyone compared Orange Defender to Malwarebytes? Curious which one is better for just general home use.

S Steve Kaur 2 months ago
Malwarebytes is good for specific malware removal, but Orange Defender is more of a full-suite antivirus with real-time protection. Depends on what you're looking for.

I use Orange Defender for my main protection and then run Malwarebytes sometimes as a second opinion scan. OD is solid for everyday stuff.

Hey guys, thinking of getting Orange Defender. Does it actually slow down your PC? My current antivirus makes everything so laggy.

R Renee Romero 1 month ago
Nah, I've been using it for about 6 months and haven't noticed any slowdown. My old Norton used to eat up resources, but this one is pretty light.

It's decent. I game a lot and it runs pretty quietly in the background, not really affecting performance for me.

What's the deal with their coupon codes? Do they work for renewals or only for new purchases?

B Brett 2 months ago
Some coupons are specifically for new customers, but I've definitely gotten renewal discounts before. Just depends on the code.

Mostly for new stuff from what I've seen. Always worth checking the fine print on the coupon though.

Can you use this on multiple devices with one license, or is it one license per PC?

N Neil 2 months ago
Some of their licenses are for multiple devices. You gotta check the specific product description when you're buying, it'll say 'multi-device protection' if it is.

I got a license that covers three PCs, so yeah, they have options for more than one. Just look for it on the product page.

Anyone know if Orange Defender offers a student discount? Trying to save some cash.

K Kevin 1 month ago
I think I saw something about it on their site a while back, might be worth checking their FAQ or a dedicated student discount page if they have one.

I Ivy Walsh 1 month ago
Yeah, they do! My friend got one last year. You just gotta verify your student status during checkout, I believe.

Thinking of grabbing a 2-year license. Is that typically where the best discounts are, or do they do bigger sales on specific holidays?

R Renee D. 1 month ago
Multi-year licenses almost always have better per-year pricing. But yeah, Black Friday or Cyber Monday could have some extra percentage off on top of that.
2
A Andre 1 month ago
Definitely go for the multi-year if you can. The holiday sales are good but the bulk discount on the 2-year is usually a solid deal all year round.
